1/700 Flight Deck Detail Sheet for IJN Aircraft Carrier Kaga

A laser-cut card stock flight deck detailing sheet for 1/700-scale IJN Kaga kits. Includes deck painting masks, crew figures, aircraft propellers, and more. Painting is required.

Here's a brief translation of the instructions, which are all in Japanese:

• Remove all molded-in arresting cable detail from the kit's deck parts.
• Paint the kit's deck part with Creos Mr. Color #32 (or similar).
• Leaving the deck sheet part attached to the main sheet, paint it with Creos Mr. Color #44 (or similar).
• Once all the paint is dry, remove the deck sheet from its main sheet, and apply spray glue to the under surface. Using the elevator openings as a guide, apply the deck sheet to the kit's deck part.
• Add the elevators to the deck.
• Lightly attach the deck marking stencil sheet to masking tape, topside-down.
• Apply spray glue (weak type) lightly to the underside of the marking stencil.
• Attach the marking stencil to the deck.
• Spray on Creos Mr. Color #1 (or similar white). Several lights coats are recommended. When dry, remove the marking stencil.
• Paint the arresting cables "battleship color" (Creos Mr. Color #32 or similar).
• Attach the arresting cables to the deck with "bond" (white glue, such as Elmer's). Refer to the kit's instructions for positioning.
• Put the figures wherever you want them!
