1/24 Open Interface Tom's SC430 (2006)

The Tom's SC430 managed to score a win in its debut race in the Super GT series at Suzuka in 2006. While it's a Lexus SC430 at its core, the race-engineered aero work turns this into a formidable racing machine. As many of Tamiya's car kits do these days, this also comes with an under panel part that's got a metal weight in it to give the finished model heft.

Tamiya actually sponsored this car (rear wing side panels), so they gave this kit their best effort. There's no engine present, but all the detail visible under and within the car is faithfully reproduced with very sharply-molded parts. Highly recommended!
