A limited-run injection kit of the Ki-9 "Akatombo" ("red dragonfly") training biplane. Don't let the "limited-run" description dissuade you though, RS Models is well-known for producing very high-quality kits, and this model is no exception. Includes complete interior and highly-detailed engine, making use of Eduard pre-painted photo-etch (included). Surface detail is very nicely done and delicate, so make sure your paint is properly thinned or you will cover it all up! Markings are given for four aircraft: a Special Attack (kamikaze) unit aircraft of the Japanese Army (yes, they really were that desperate), a South Korean Air Force aircraft from the immediate post-war era, a USAAF aircraft (based in Korea, with partial Korean markings), and a Manchurian Air Force trainer. The drum can shown in the rear cockpit in the box art is not included for the suicide aircraft option; however, there are no shortage of military vehicle and accessory kits out there with drum cans in them for those so inclined to build this version.
