The Ki-94 II was a prototype high-altitude turbosupercharged fighter under development for the Imperial Japanese Army Air Force in the closing days of WWII. The sole mostly-completed prototype never flew, but was taken to the US immediately after the war ended, where it was examined without bringing it to flying status and then scrapped.

RS Models' kit of this "Japan '46" fighter is a limited-run injection kit, but of very high quality. Panel lines are fine and consistent, a large fret of photo-etched parts is included to detail the cockpit and radiators, and the resin engine is absolutely beautiful (a shame it will be almost impossible to see behind the cooling fan). The canopy is a crystal-clear injected piece, not vacuform. Markings are for the prototype at the factory, in two schemes: overall trainer orange-yellow, and green above/trainer orange-yellow below.
