1/72 Su-24M Fencer

The Su-24M Fencer entered service in the mid-1970s after undergoing many governmental trials over a period of at least five years. This aircraft has variable geometry wings that pivot at the shoulder. The Su-24 was designed as an all-weather attack aircraft, a goal achieved thanks to new breakthroughs in radar technology. The Fencer was outfitted with a GSh-6-23 cannon with 500 rounds of ammunition. This system used an eyelid shutter to cover the cannon when not in use, and for ordinance it could carry 8000 kg of anything from dumb bombs to some of the Soviet nuclear arsenal. It had eight hard-points for ordinance, and this version, unlike previous variants, had chaff and flare dispensers to complement other ECM capabilities.
