The amphibious "Fuchs" ("fox") was introduced in 1988 and serves as a nuclear, biological, and chemical (NBC) weapons detection vehicle. Crewed by a commander, a driver, and two specialists, the Fuchs has a combat weight of 17,000 kilograms and can travel at speeds of up to 105 kilometers per hour. Over the years the Fuchs has received various upgrades, maintaining its versatility and value as a modern combat vehicle.
Revell's kit of the Fuchs features authentic surface details, a detailed chassis, optional parts to build a standard or upgraded version, rubber tires, separate trim vane, moveable front wheel assembly, and markings for four vehicles (three German Army and one Norwegian Army).
