The Otori class succeeded the Chidori-class boats and made many modifications to the design based on the IJN's tough "learning experiences" with that design. Eight ships of the type were completed. Kit includes parts for two ships and markings for four vessels, the Otori, Hiyodori, Hayabusa and Kasasagi. None of these survived the war. Other vessels of the type were the Kiji (the only survivor of the class), Kari, Sagi and Hato.
