1/700 IJN Torpedo Boat Chidori w/Photo-Etched Parts (2 Ships) by Pit-Road

Product Description
This item is an injection-plastic ship model kit.  Click here for sizing chart.
The 1930 London Treaty limited the number of destroyers the Japanese Navy was allowed to operate, so they developed a class of boat which was under 600 tons hull weight, but which were armed as heavily as a conventional DD. The first, the Chidori, was completed in 1933. In 1934, the third ship of the class, the Tomozuru, capsized in heavy seas primarily due to the weight of her armaments. Modifications, including the removing of some armaments followed, and four ships of the type were eventually completed (Chidori, Manazuru, Tomozuru and Hatsukari). The Chidori was sent to the bottom in action on Dec. 22, 1944.

Kit includes parts for two ships, and includes markings for both Chidori and Manazuru. Typical, incredibly-crisp Pit-Road detail throughout.

This special limited edition includes a set of photo-etched metal detail parts.
