Commissioned in 1934, the US Navy cruiser San Francisco was the second ship of the New Orleans class. It was present at and survived the Pearl Harbor attack on December 7, 1941, and then served valiantly throughout the Pacific War, receiving a total of 17 battlestars, the second-most decorated ship in US Naval history. It was decommissioned in 1947. A joint project with Trumpeter, Pit-Road's San Francisco features sharply detailed parts molded in gray styrene. Can be built as either a waterline or full-hull model, with a stand to display the full-hull version. Represents the San Francisco as it appeared in 1942. Includes two Curtiss SOC-1 Seagull aircraft, molded in clear plastic. Ship measures 25.62cm when completed.
