Description
This is an injection-plastic ship model kit.
The Russian Navy's Kirov class ships are the largest cruisers in the world; only four ships in this class were completed. Initially intended as anti-submarine hunters, the Kirov class cruisers were modified to be able to successfully engage enemy surface ships and to provide air support and anti-submarine protection to naval forces. The second of these cruisers to be laid down, originally 'Kalinin' but subsequently the 'Admiral Nakhimov', was launched in 1983 (but not commissioned until 1986). Pit-Road's kit reproduces this nuclear-and-steam-turbine powered ship in beautiful 1/700 scale, with crisp detail all over. Sharp decals (included) are an added bonus for accurate and excellent markings.
