1/48 Aichi E13A1b Jake Sea Plane

A re-release of an older kit from Nichimo. The kit was designed to be motorized, and has effectively no interior detail. It also has moveable control surfaces and foldable wings that add to the toy-like appearance. Surface detail consists of fine raised panel lines and rivets. However, it is pretty accurate dimensionally and is the only 1/48 Jake available, or likely to be available in the future. With a large spares box and a bit of elbow grease, a very fine-looking model of an attractive seaplane can be built from this kit--and let's face it, how many of your friends have a Jake on their shelves?
