This item is a racing car model kit assembled from parts made of resin, white metal, photo-etched metal and possibly other materials.  Click here for sizing chart.

This is an absolutely magnificent multi-media model kit of the legendary Team Lotus Type 79 Formula 1 car, as raced in the Swedish and French Grand Prix races during the 1979 F1 season. The kit features stunning detail throughout, with injection molded plastic parts, sharply cast resin parts, cast metal parts, machined metal parts, photo-etched metal parts, and a whole lot more. The engine itself features incredible detail, as shown in the photos here, with separate pistons, camshafts, heads, valve covers, and more, plus detail on all block surfaces, and even on both sides of the heads! The ultimate model kit for F1 fans, gearheads, and petrolheads! 

This "A" version represents the cars raced in the Swedish and French Grand Prix events, with different decals and rearview mirrors that are separate from the body.
