Ferrari's '166 Mille Miglia' is considered by many historians to be Ferrari's definitive vintage sports car, based on its exceptional competitive record as well as its beautiful design. With a Barchetta body (by Touring of Milan) mounted on a chassis with a surprisingly short wheelbase (only 2200 mm), it's got a distinctive look; combined with its outstanding performance (this particular model walked the Le Mans in 1949) it's no wonder this car holds such esteem around the world! This model from Model Factory Hiro reproduces the 166 Mille Miglia in 1/24 scale, with full engine detail. The body is crisply molded in resin; the chassis, engine, and other detail parts are white metal, turned aluminum, and stainless steel; some plastic parts (for lamps) and wire are included for extra detail, and several gorgeous frets of photo-etched parts add icing to this beautiful cake. The tires are really well detailed in rubber. Decals are included for number 22 or 23.
