All right, this set is not cheap; but now that we've gotten past that, is it worth it? For fans of the Yamato, we think the answer would have to be a resounding "yes"! This is quite possibly the most comprehensive detail set for this ship to ever be assembled all in one box. You get replacement turned-brass barrels for all main- and secondary-battery guns, as well as for the turreted high-angle anti-air cannon. Brass screws. Anchor chain. Finally, a whopping 12 sheets of the highly-detailed photoetched parts for which LionRoar is famous. These parts include all the railings, ladders, radar antennas, cable reels, hatches, deck lockers, light AA mounts and shields and turret details needed to properly "clutter up" the deck and superstructure, as well as complete seaplane catapult and crane assemblies -- even details for the airplanes themselves! Without a question, this one set will add all the detail to your big Yamato that you could ever want, and with careful assembly will turn your finished model into a true museum-quality masterpiece.
