Goldfish are everywhere in Japan, and although you don't often see this kind of portable goldfish shop anymore, at festivals the booths that challenge you to scoop up goldfish using a paper net are still popular. It's harder than it looks, but you get to take home any fish you manage to scoop! This kit is molded mostly in light and dark brown and silver plastic, and includes colored powder (green), a willow tree, and printed materials for creating the goldfish and other details.
This kit is part of Kawai Shokai's Fuubutsushi series ("Fuubutsushi" refers to things that remind you of certain seasons) of Japanese buildings, stores, and locations that allow you to recreate Japanese landscapes--it's just like being here! (If you're about 2 inches tall, anyway.) From Edo period sights to relatively modern ones, the wide variety of entries allows you to design the layout of your choice (after taking varying scales into account).
