1/9 Triumph 3HW WWII Military Type by Italeri

Product Description
This item is an injection-plastic motorcycle kit.  Click here for sizing chart.
Quick expansion of the Army in WWII forced the procurement of many less-than-optimum items from the civilian market. Motorcycles were among these items and Britain bought several bikes for the "Dispatch Riders" in liaison services. The Triumph 3HW is originally known as the "Tiger 80" and saw widespread use among the Commonwealth Armies. This model is originally released by ESCI. It is a highly-detailed model with workable front fork suspension. Several materials are used to give a realistic look in this scale. Shock absorbing springs are made of metal coils. Tie-down straps, saddle and drive chain are made of soft black vinyl. Beautifully-treaded tires are made of rubber. A British Army rider's helmet and Sten sub-machinegun are the indications of this bike's military use. Decals are provided for the armies of Britain, South Africa, New Zealand and Italy. No figures included though the box art shows a nice picture of the dispatch rider.
