Based on the chassis of the Czech-designed 38(t) light tank, the Sd.Kfz. 140/1 Aufklarungspanzer 38(t) was used as an advanced scouting vehicle by the Germans in WWII. Armed with a 20mm gun in an open-topped turret, the type first entered service in 1944.
Italeri's Sd.Kfz. 140/1 features a turret cover than can be modeled in either the opened or closed position, and nylon mesh to recreate the screening of the turret cover. Tracks are provided as injection-molded plastic links and lengths.
