1/35 Opel Blitz Late Version

The Opel Blitz was the backbone of the German Army's transport force during WWII. This kit depicts the simplified late model version, with the wooden driver's cabin introduced in 1943. The base model (ITA216) was one of Italeri's first production kits in the late 1970s. At that time, it was known for its beautiful molds and detailed parts. With the new tooling of the wooden cabin, this is reproduced as an excellent model of the late version. You can replace the kit's troublesome rubber tires with "Opel Blitz (Late-Model) Tire Set" (SHM035), which are made of injection plastic.
