The LVT-(A)1 Alligator amphibious assault tank is the fire support vehicle to protect the soldiers and marines while disembarking on the shore. It is a closed-top vehicle with 37mm gun turret and two .30 machineguns with shields. It fought in the Pacific Theater from 1944. This kit is a variation of LVT-4 Water Buffalo (ITA379) representing this bulky fighting amphibian with excellent details. The breech of the 37mm gun, sighting scope and co-axial machine gun is modelised, so you can see it through the open hatches.
