Designed during WWII for the purpose of moving supplies from cargo ships to the beach during amphibious operations, the DUKW 353 Amphibious Truck combined a high load capacity with good handling characteristics in the water, on roads, and on rough terrain. The design was so successful that it soldiered on with various militaries around the world until the '70s, and can still be found in various civil applications even today.
Italeri's British Royal Army DUKW is another variation of its previous, and excellent, DUKW kits. This new kit includes parts to make a British Royal Army-specific vehicle. Includes tarps as shown on the box art. Markings are provided for two vehicles (British or US). No figures are included.
