1/35 Sd.Kfz.234/1 Schwerer Panzerspahwagen (2cm)

The SdKfz.234/1 was the basic vehicle of the 8-wheel-drive armored car series. The vehicle is larger than its predecessor, the Sd.Kfz232 (produced by Tamiya as TAM35036), and is powered by a Tatra diesel engine. This model with its 2 cm cannon lent serious influence to post-war armored car design. This kit is from the relatively old tooling of the 1980's, but still retains its grace. The complicated mechanism of 8 wheel steering and drive, as well as the suspension, are reproduced with a high number of parts (sorry, the finished kit does not steer). The open-topped turret has a detailed interior and the canopy is completed with wire mesh (included). The SdKfz.234's stylish form will add an excellent accent to your AFV collection or late-war period dioramas (e.g. Normandy).
