1/48 Fiat CR.42AS Falco

A very nice new kit from Italeri, with optional spatted and spatless landing gear, a highly detailed engine that can be exposed by leaving the cowl panels off, detailed cockpit, and markings for four Italian aircraft: "45" of the Scuola Caccia Assalto at Ravenna, "20-7" of 20 Squadriglia, "387-9" of 387 Squadriglia, and an aircraft of 15 Stormo d'Assalto. These last three aircraft are all from the North African campaign. We are also given a very nice bonus in the form of a booklet chock full of period photos, factory drawings, and a full-color walkaround of the rebuilt example on display in the Museo Storico dell'Aeronautica Militare. A very buildable kit, and an outstanding reference, all in one box!
