1/48 EF-18G Growler

Italeri has updated their F/A-18F kit by doing some retooling of the upper fuselage, thereby deleting the fictional speed-brake between the tails, and including new parts to model the electronic warfare version of the Super Hornet. The new parts include the jamming pods and new pylons and the wingtip ECM pods that will take the place of the Sidewinder racks. Anti-radiation missiles, almost certain to be carried in combat by the Growler, are not included. The EA-18G is not yet in service, but will replace the EA-6B Prowlers in Carrier Air Wings. Decals are hypothetical markings for VAQ-209 and VAQ-129.
