1/72 Harrier GR.3 Falklands Conflict
Code: ITA1278This model of the original Harrier "jump-jet" is a well-done re-boxing of the Esci kit. The box displays two schemes to paint your awesome new Harrier with, the No. 1 Squadron from Norway in the winter of 1986, and the No. 4 Squadron from HMS Hermes stationed in Cottesmore in 1982, and includes the decals for these schemes. The Harrier was the only fully functional V/STOL aircraft until the CV-22 Osprey was completed. It has an excellently designed thrust directing system which has been quite reliable. Though not as heavy a fighter as some of the standard attack aircraft. thanks to its VTOL ability it has the maneuverability to make up for its relatively light payload. The first generation Harrier proved its usefulness during the Falklands Conflict, and the newer versions are still holding their own today.
