1/72 B-26K Counter Invader

An all-new tool from Italeri - apparently no connection to the A-26C announced by another manufacturer. Our apologies for the confusion. Still, after years of nothing but the old Airfix kit or the older box-scale Monogram kit a new Invader is cause for celebration! This kit contains pretty much everything needed to build an accurate "Nimrod", although you might want to replace the WWII era bombs in the bomb-bay. That's right, the bomb-bay can be displayed open! Lots of other nasties are included for under the wings, such as napalm, rocket pods and M117s. Decals are for five aircraft. Three are US birds from the 59th SOW, 609th SOS in Vietnam: 64-645, 64-646 with a reclining nude blonde on the nose and 64-651 with "Mighty Mouse" in black on the nacelles. Two are emerald green over light grey Congolese machines: 622 "Makasi" of the 21e Escadrille, 21e Wing with buffalo nose art and CIA-operated 646 "Boogie Bogey".
