Description
This is an injection-plastic kit of a science-fiction/anime item.
Known as the Mach 5 overseas, and as just "The Mach" here in Japan, this is Speed Racer's car from the classic anime series of the same name, in an all-new tooling!
Imai has done a nice job with this, incorporating all the fun gimmicks from the show, including moving jacks on the underside, photo-etched metal cutter saws that deploy from under the front of the car, and an opening hatch in the hood for deploying the "Galant" (that little bird-robot thing). Hood opens and closes after assembly to reveal the car's "GOV12" engine. Full interior and underside detail as well. What fun!
