1/48 Blue Impulse Jr. Set

"Shriners" is usually the first word people think of when they see these cute little guys zipping around the middle of a street, but they are actually shrewd recruiting devices used by the Japan Air Self Defense Force at various events to steer youngsters towards careers in the military. Originally created by an engine maintenance team at Matsushima Air Base, these scooters are mini caricature replicas (hence the "Jr.") of Kawasaki T-4s as flown by the JASDF's flight demonstration team, Blue Impulse. The kit includes 3 complete 1/48 scale "aircraft" and their "pilots," with each pilot striking a different pose (straight, left turn, right turn). Molded in white, blue, and gray plastic. Markings for six "aircraft" are provided as both water-slide decals or peel-off self-adhesive stickers.
