Hasegawa's new 1/48-scale "Follow Me Jeep" is more aircraft accessory than stand-alone military kit, light on detail but strong on impact. A representation of the Jeeps used on air bases to direct aircraft around the tarmacs and runways, the kit includes the cumbersome radio equipment sometimes fitted. The garish checkerboard pattern for high visibility (who could miss that?) is provided in the kit as a large decal, which must be trimmed to the Jeep's shape. Three figures are included: a rearward-looking driver (hey, watch the road, Bub!), a ground crewman, and a pilot. The Jeep can be built either top-up or top-down. Hood is removable to reveal the engine detail. Includes markings for three vehicles and a small metal rod for the antenna. A very colorful accessory for your 1/48 aircraft dioramas!
