Hasegawa's latest addition to their 1/32 lineup is this very nice Hien Ki61-I Hei. The kit features a fully detailed cockpit (just add belts if you are not going to use the included pilot figure), radiator assembly and landing gear, with options including drop tanks, boarding steps, open or closed canopies (a one-piece canopy is included for the closed option), and the aforementioned pilot figure. Also, full flap detail is molded into the upper and lower wing halves, so although not specified on the instructions, with a few careful cuts it would be possible to pose the flaps down! Decals are included for Capt. Teruhiko Kobayashi's aircraft of the 244th Flight Regiment, Lt. Mitsuo Koyake's aircraft of the 6th Shinten Seikutai, 18th Flight Regiment, and Sgt. Maj. Iwao Tabata's aircraft of the 39th Training Squadron. The initial release includes a white-metal figure of Capt. Teruhiko Kobayashi. Highly recommended!
