Okay, I'll confess that I was originally not that interested in this kit because it's not a major type, and it's just an F-16 rip-off, right? But then I cracked the box and started drooling over the tiny details that Hasegawa has packed all over this next-generation fighter, jointly developed by Japan and the US. Similarities with the F-16 end with the overall shape of the plane; the F-2 is bigger, carries more payload and has a completely new cockpit and canopy arrangement. All cockpit systems were developed in Japan, with avionics by Lockheed-Martin. The kit's surface, engine and cockpit detail are gorgeous. Comes with 300 and 600-gallon external tanks, and two Sidewinders. Highly recommened!
