Re-release, after a long wait, of Hasegawa's E13A1 Jake with catapult! The Jake features fine recessed panel lines, cockpit detail consisting of a floor, 3 seats and 3 figures, and a fairly well-done 3-piece engine. Open and closed cowl flaps, radar aerials and 2 kinds of exhausts provide options while building. Decals are for 3 airplanes, two green over gray airplanes - one from Yokosuka and one from Shimushu Island, and one overall gray airplane based on the heavy cruiser Atago. The catapult is also very nice, and will make for quite the display with the Jake mounted on it. A couple of hints for building: the dotted line in step 5 of the catapult instructions is the launch rope, you need 60cm of thread or fine line, loop it around the wheels and pullies as shown in the drawing. The catapult cart for the Jake is the one on the right in step 7. Don't use the parts shown in the left-hand drawing, those are for the Type 94 Biplane - unless you already have the Type 94, in which case now you can mount it on this catapult!
