Following on the heels of Hasegawa's retooling of the Dragon Fw190A-3 kit comes the A-4 - no surprise, as most of the parts were in the A-3 kit anyway. What makes this release different is the louvered vents just behind the exhausts (as opposed to the oval holes of the A-3 kit) and new ailerons. Technically, this means you can only build a late A-4, as early A-4s had the same vents as the A-3. Nevertheless, Hasegawa has given us an accurate A-4, with decals for two interesting schemes: a winter camoflaged aircraft flown by Kommodore Major HAnnes Trautloft of JG54 and a fascinating field-applied "jungle" camoflaged aircraft of Kommodore Major Hubertus von Bonin, also of JG54.
