As the venerable F-14 sails into the history books, being replaced by the capable F/A-18E/F Super Hornet, modelers are being offered a veritable smorgasbord of Tomcat treats in a variety of scales. This is Hasegawa's 1/48 offering, the ever-popular, world famous "Pukin' Dogs" of VF-143. Squadron lore has it that the impressive black griffon insignia has occasionally been described as looking more like an ill canine...hence the moniker!
