With production starting in March of 1943, 5,552 M4 High Speed Tractors were built by June of 1945. The 18-ton tractor was designed mainly as the prime mover for towing the 90mm (3-inch) AA cannon.
Hobby Boss continues to release high-quality kits of interesting subjects with this M4 High Speed Tractor. The parts are sharply molded in olive drab plastic, with a nice fret of photo-etched metal detail parts, lengths of twine and chain, and self-adhesive masks for the windows all included. The three-bar cleat tracks are nicely rendered as flexible belts, and decals are included for two vehicles. Figures and 90mm AA gun are NOT included.
