Hobby Boss is a new company from China that has actually managed to bring out a new concept in model aircraft kits: the "easy assembly" line. Kits in this line are molded in the minimum number of parts needed to produce an acceptably accurate 1/72-scale model. The fuselage is molded as one piece, with the entire wing as a second piece, to which are added the prop, landing gear and other small parts. The kits certainly look like the aircraft they are supposed to represent, and seem (in the box) to be pretty accurate in outline. In terms of overall detail level, we would put them somewhere above the older Hasegawa kits.
This kit has 26 parts, including optional open and closed canopies and a centerline bomb. Decals are for two desert-scheme Spits, I.R. Gleed's "IR G" of 244 Sq. and "WR R" of 40 Sq. SAAF.
