This is a very nicely detailed, fully assembled and fully finished die-cast metal model of the US M26 Pershing tank, as used in the Korean War, circa 1950. Markings are for a US Marines Pershing of B Company, 1st Tank Battalion. Tracks represent the early-style T81 single-pin metal type, most often seen on WWII Pershings but occasionally seen on post-WWII vehicles. Interestingly, the spare track links on the turret represent the later double-pin type...not an impossible combination, as tank crews would routinely slap just about anything onto their vehicles! The model comes mounted on a black plastic base with nameplate, with a clear plastic case to help keep it free of dust and fingerprints.
