1/35 Panzerbefehlswagen Ausf.K

It is said that the key to the success of the German Blitzkrieg lay in the deployment of many command tanks within its formation. Basically, in place of the tank gun, a command tank was equipped with long range radios and a mapboard table in the fighting compartment. The Pz.Bef.Wg. Ausf.K (Command tank Type K) is the final model converted from the Panzer III tank. To increase the capacity in the fighting compartment to enable it to equip a 5cm tank gun (a great change!), the tank used a Panzer IV turret. GSI Creos (Gunze Sangyo), now collaborating with Dragon, made use of their plentiful resources to produce this hybrid model. The kit is thoroughly detailed and contains every part, redesigned upper hull side plates with pistol ports, antenna post and visors, narrow gun shield with long 5cm gun and the additional aerial post for the "Star Antenna", needed for the command tank K. Some considerable modelling skill will be required as some cutting work (enlarging the turret link) is necessary for building up. Tracks are the individual track link type, made of injection plastic.
