Here's a fine model of Shureimon, one of Shuri Castle's gates, built in the 16th century and located in the southern Japanese island of Okinawa. A picture of this ornate gate also appears on the back of the Japanese 2,000-yen bill, released in the year 2000 in commemoration of the 26th G8 summit, which was held in Okinawa. The model is molded in three colors, so a nice replica can be had without painting...but I'd recommend painting it to bring out the full splendor of the gate! Includes metallic gold and red self-adhesive stickers for the gate markings. Historical!
