Fujimi's excellent kit of the Pearl Harbor attacker Akagi, as outfitted at the beginning of hostilities. Named after a Japanese mountain, the aircraft carrier Akagi was Vice Admiral Nagumo's flagship during the attack on Pearl Harbor in December of 1941. She went on to serve during the invasion of Rabaul and the attack on Darwin, Australia, and finally met her demise at the Battle of Midway in 1942.
This release of Fujimi's Akagi kit builds into either a waterline or a full-hull model, with three each of Type 21 Zeroes, Type 99 Carrier Bombers, and Type 97 Carrier Attack Bombers molded in clear plastic. Hull construction features a clever internal truss system to keep it strong and straight. Includes a display stand for the full-hull model.
