Fujimi's all-newly-tooled kit of the mighty IJN battleship Kongo depicts the ship as it appeared in October of 1944 after undergoing refurbishment. The kit builds into a highly detailed waterline model, sharply molded in gray styrene with clear styrene Type 0 scout floatplanes. The barrels of the main guns feature open muzzles, thanks to advanced slide-mold technology, and the AA guns, masts, scaffolds, and other details are finely molded. Decals are included.
