Description

This is an injection-plastic racing car model kit.

The Chaparral 2D race car was a closed-cockpit variant of the open-cockpit Chaparral 2 series, and was designed for endurance racing in 1966. With Phil Hill and Joakim Bonnier behind the wheel, the 2D won the 1000km Nurburgring race in 1966, although it had to withdraw from the 1966 24 Hours of Le Mans race after 111 laps.

Fujimi's sharp kit of the Chaparral 2D racer is molded in white and black, with white metal parts for head and tail lights, and other parts. Simplified engine detail. Markings included for the #7 1966 1000km Nurburgring winner and the #9 1966 Le Mans car. Originally issued by Modeler's.
