The Kawasaki-built Type 95 Ki-10-II (Allied code name "Perry") was the last, and best, Japanese biplane fighter. Widely used by the Army Air Force, it was used in combat during the Sino-Japanese war and in the Nomonhan Incident against Russian forces. Although retired from front-line service by the time the Pacific War broke out, it was brought back for patrol and reconnaissance duties over both the home islands and mainland China during the early days of the war, freeing up more modern types for combat service. This is an all-new tool by Fine Molds of this important type, and represents the model II with slightly longer fuselage and wingspan as compared to the model I. The molding is typically excellent FineMolds quality, and includes a seated pilot figure. Also includes a sprue of three 55-gallon drums, ladders, chocks, oil cans, two maintenance crew figures, and more. Decals included for two of biplane ace Tateo Kato's aircraft.
