Marking variants in this series include 4 aircraft of the 343rd Naval Flying Group, an aircraft of the Yokosuka Naval Flying Group, a post-war aircraft evaluated by the Americans, and a "special" version painted in the fictional markings of an aircraft from the comic book series "Shiden Kai Hawk".
