1/35 Sherman Mk. III

The Sherman Mk. III was the British version of the M4A2 Sherman, fitted with sand shields, turret bustle storage bins, and other items found mainly on British armored vehicles. Common in the deserts of North Africa, its moderate armor and 75mm gun in a fully rotating turret put the Allies on an even footing with most German armor in the theater (besides the rare Tigers!).

Dragon's Sherman Mk. III is another welcome addition to its Allied Armor line, and a much-needed Commonwealth subject. Kit includes many newly-tooled parts for this version, such as the three-piece tranny cover and M34 rotor and gun shield, as well as a newly-tooled upper hull. The sand shields and storage racks are provided as photo-etched parts, and the T54E-1 tracks are beautifully rendered in flexible one-piece belt-style "Dragon Styrene." Decals by Cartograf for three different Royal Wiltshire Yeomanry vehicles. Another happy release for all you Shermaniacs out there!
