The German King Tiger tank is the most popular tank -- even among civilians. Its long 88mm cannon, thick slanted armor and super-wide-tread tracks create a great impression of a powerful fighting tank, though it really was no more than an under-powered mobile pillbox! Dragon chose the production model of the King Tiger, which is well known as the "Henschel Tiger", with its square face turret design. The kit also contains the gun breech, recoil/recuperator cylinders and safety guards, all visible through the open hatches. The tracks are the separated-link type made of injection plastic. A brass photo-etched set for the large engine grilles is also included, as well as two set of decals, one for the Russian front and the other for the Battle of the Bulge.
