1/48 Focke-Wulf Fw190A-7 w/Slipper Tanks

Limited reissue of the Dragon 1/48 scale Fw190 kit with decals and newly tooled parts to model it as a Focke-Wulf Fw190A-7 with the experimental "Slipper Tanks" developed by the Luftwaffe. While more aerodynamically efficient than the standard underwing tanks, they suffered the same drawback as all conformal tanks, which is that there is no way to get rid of them when they are empty! As a result, the idea was dropped, but now you can add one of these unique airplanes to your collection. Decals are for the sole prototype, Werk Nr. 380394, an A-7 model.
