Assembly Guide
A model for the "Luft '46" fans! This release represents a paper project the Germans were working on at the end of the war. A Me 262 would be stripped of its cockpit, armament and landing gear, and have a large warhead placed in its nose. A second "stock" Me 262 would be mounted on struts above this flying bomb, and the whole ungainly combination mounted on a special dolly for take-off. The pilot would fly to the target, aim the bomb in a dive, lock the controls, separate and fly home, leaving the lower component to fly into the target and explode. Dragon's Me 262 has long been considered an excellent representation of the world's first operational jet fighter, and this new release promises to build up into a highly-detailed replica of a concept that, had it flown, would have doubtless caused headaches for the allies - and probably for the pilots ordered to fly it as well!
