Description
This is an injection-plastic military vehicle model kit.
As WWII started, the never-ending race for improved firepower and armor protection also began. The German Panzer IV started life as a fire support vehicle for the Panzer III gun tank, but the demands of the battlefield forced it to adopt the role of a gun tank, and to alter the design of the tank itself with a longer-barreled gun. The Panzer IV Ausf. H is a good example of the results of this transition. The late type Ausf. H was fitted with the long-barreled 75mm gun, and often featured zimmerit anti-mine coating.
Dragon/Cyber Hobby's kit of the Panzer IV Ausf. H late type tank features fantastic detail, with metal side skirts and photo-etched metal parts. Tracks are provided as Dragon's flexible "Dragon Styrene" plastic belt tracks. The main feature of this kit is of course the very well done zimmerit anti-mine coating. Amazing detail all around!
