1/35 British Sherman Mk.III Mid-Production Sicily

The Sherman Mk. III was the British version of the M4A2 Sherman, fitted with sand shields, turret bustle storage bins, and other items found mainly on British armored vehicles. Common in the deserts of North Africa and Italy, its moderate armor and 75mm gun in a fully rotating turret put the Allies on an even footing with most German armor in the theater (besides the occasional Tiger and Panther!).

Dragon's Sherman Mk. III Mid-Production Sicily version is another welcome addition to its Allied Armor line, and continues the trend to offer much-needed Commonwealth subjects. Kit includes many newly tooled parts for this version, such as the nicely textured cast tranny cover with serial numbers and new bolt arrangement on rear plate, as well as newly tooled engine deck grills. The sand shields and storage racks are provided as photo-etched parts, and the WE210 "Double I" block tracks are beautifully rendered in flexible one-piece belt-style "Dragon Styrene." Decals are provided for one 3rd Country of London Yeomanry vehicle of the British Army in Sicily, 1943. Yet another happy release for Shermaniacs!
