No fan of the Sentai shows can be without Gokaioh, the main mecha from the 35th of Toei's Sentai (Power Ranger) shows, Gokaiger! Gokaioh drops the animal theme of the last two shows and goes with tried-and-true vehicles: A green race car for the left arm, A blue jet for the right, a pink and white submarine for the right leg and a yellow semi-truck for the left. And then of course there's the main body piece, the Gokai Galleon! The red center section, when not serving as Gokaioh's torso, turns in to a pretty convincing space sailing ship.
The special trick with Gokaioh is that each of the separate vehicles has an internal storage compartment with a spring-loaded door. When docked together as Gokaioh, turning the dial on the robot's back causes all five pieces' spring-loaded doors to pop open simultaneously. When in standard form, the central body features a large cannon which pops up to take on the bad guys. But when combined with other accessories, such as Magi Dragon (sold separately), each of the limbs and the center section get additional pop-out gimmicks for more spring-loaded fun (such as the wings, legs and head of the dragon, in the case of Magi Dragon).
As usual, this toy is built with fantastic quality, designed to withstand rugged play by little kids (unlike some of the cheapened versions of the Power Ranger toys sold outside of Japan).
